Black Woods Characters

The goddess and creator of the Black Woods. Some think that she is the Black Woods itself.

It is believed that she was once a human nature deity or spirit. Once humans came to occupy and pollute her realm, her realm began to reflect the spirits of filth that humanity was releasing with their presence. This is where she gets the title, "the Goddess of Pollution", but nobody knows for sure who she was before the Black Woods came to be, or who she will become afterwards.

As a goddess of creation, she is believed to be ultimately responsible for the creation of other races that had first emerged in the Black Woods, such as the lagomorphs. These races appear to share some features in common, such as representing the combination of an innocent mammal found in nature with malformations, or with creatures that represent something unnatural--often arthropods.

As a goddess who is worshiped, she is largely forgotten by humans and other races. Even in her native domain, her last remaining worshipers are lagomorphs, but even among those lagomorphs, very few do worship her. She is seen as a goddess of bad luck, and thus she is sometimes referred to as "the Five Syllables" whose name shall never be uttered.

Ikamekomi continues to be poorly understood, even by her own creation, but her own influence continues to grow over time...
